Had quite the experience today, took my friends from Europe to the gun range. With guns being something, I grew up around with my family always owning guns, hunting with guns, and recreationally using guns, them never even seeing guns in real life was bizarre. Their experience with guns only went as far as seeing guns in movies or shows, but never holding or interacting with one. For me interacting with guns taught me a certain respect that comes with holding a gun and potentially someone's life on the other end of that gun. But they'd never experienced that feeling, and obviously coming to America that what was the one thing they wanted to do? Shoot a gun. So, we go to the range and of course they're picking out their favorite gun from a video game or movie to shoot, just thinking it'll be like they've seen in media. However, I could see the nerves in their face and in the trembling hands as they prepared to handle their first firearm. After getting instruction an
Spring break was an absolute blast! Me and my friends had such a blast in Mexico and met a ton of new people while at the resort which was super cool. It was kind of weird though because I think I met more people from the US in Mexico than I have in South Florida. If anyone is ever debating on Spring break I would 1000% recommend going to Mexico.
I'm so excited, I finally got all my midterm tests and speech's out of the way. Now it's vacation time! Cancun next week and I cannot wait to just sit and relax on the beach alllllllll day. After this first half of the semester vacation is a necessity.
Just had the busiest 10 day stretch of my life. Between the 2 exams 2 labs play I had to go see plus all my HW's and 3 futsal games this week my schedule has just been jammed. The good news though is that we should have relatively smooth sailing until spring break, and I cannot wait for my spring break trip.
I hate common core, or general studies whatever it's called. The fact that I am required to take a class on theatre is outrageous. The only thing I've learned so far is I hate theatre even more now than I did before ever watching, examining, or even knowing anything about it. And it's ridiculous that for a business degree I have to sit through an entire semester devoted to something I will never talk about, see, or care about again in my entire life. And the worst part I'm paying to do it, the professors answer every time you say something like this "Oh well you're the one paying to be here." false I'm paying to go to business school, not sit here and listen to this all day.
Another successful week at school have 3 exams this week so didn't get into anything to crazy over the weekend just mostly studying and practicing my upcoming speech. Did have a little outside barbeque last night with some friends but it wasn't quite as good as the southern bbq in SC. Can't wait to come to SC for some good ole bbq.
Week two officially in the books and I learned I have to act in a play this semester, that alone makes me want to drop out of school but I think I'll survive one performance. My classes this semester do kinda suck, not that they're going to be super hard just they're all bs classes that I have no interest in so that could make for a long semester.
